gtristan45Hi, so since about a week or two, I was (seemingly) able to salvage sstate cache functionality for this client project... but some additional state is now biting me and I'm not sure what to look for08:37
gtristan45Basically, in order to test, instead of checking out many GB of source code for every edit/compile/test cycle... I was removing the build directory between builds08:38

gtristan45basically it's a directory that has bitbake.lock, downloads, work, work-shared, and sstate-cache (downloads and sstate-cache default to there if you don't override those to somewhere persistent)08:40
gtristan45So anyway, in between every build I would remove that whole directory... and the results were good, I am only rebuilding recipes when their recipes or source code (or dependencies) change08:41
