nerdboyso we made a big version jump in existing project, using gitpkgv.bbclass to version a bunch of git apps but the change to using --exact-match kills our package versions since it can't find closest tag any more03:19

mjacobI’ve been running into the problem that libtool puts paths inside a sysroot into RUNPATH (I’m not using Yocto). Then I found a patch for Yocto solving that particular problem: https://git.yoctoproject.org/poky/tree/meta/recipes-devtools/libtool/libtool/0001-ltmain.sh-Fix-sysroot-paths-being-encoded-into-RPATH.patch The description says “Submitted” but it seems like it never got any response.
