Guest25Hello, I am working on a Yocto project where I have a custom init script which reads gpio pins using gpioget. This worked fine during development, however I have just built from scratch and it seems none of the gpiod commands work within the init script but do once the /sbin/init has completed. Guest25Thank you for the response. The release is Scarthgap, using an imx8mm. I am using a readonly-rootfs-overlay which may affect boot times. I think something may be different during build both development and this new build is wrote to the eMMC. I took my custom layers and configs from the development to ensure it could be rebuilt on a new machine.09:19

Guest25During development I built a new image to flash each time but didn't clean between. Do you know if there could be some log files that could indicate build differences? Both builds uses the same commits of my files and the external repositories are pulled in using repo, with the same revisions. Thank you for the help, I'm primarily a hardware09:30

Guest25Unfortunately I never enabled it. Yes, I was talking about bitbake. It has been good for the majority of it but I did have some issues early on where I had to clean the kernel as some configs changes didn't go through. I flash the board using NXP's uuu software.09:35

But on bring up, I only write one via bmaptool. It took me a little while to understand that bmaptool copy will not touch sections of the flash after the initial flashing, and I got confused why my rootfs didn't get replaced09:48
