khemok so whats the deal18:29
denix_khem: by now BBB is fully upstream, so can use whatever kernel you want18:29
khemI see18:29
khemwell bb.org kernel does have some stuff which is not upstream cape things18:30
denix_khem: linux-bb.org was mostly needed for latest BBAI64 and Play, as bb.org had some Beagle-specific tweaks18:31
denix_right, capes too18:32

denix_denix> just a heads up - the timing is bad, but TI is pushing for a big release in June and will be merging some breaking changes to Kirkstone very soon23:40
denix_denix> switching from 5.10 to 6.1 kernel, 2023 U-boot and the way their firmwares get built and handled - switching from the old custom solution to U-boot binman23:40
denix_FWIW23:40

khemyeah I think I should look at some other 32bit arms may be use rpi in 32bit mode for tests, bb.org does not support OE and TI seems to have some BBB Support but it might take a while to stabilize it perhaps thats not their primary platform23:49
