yoctonHi! We plan to improve AUH runs on meta-oe. This mean to fix a lot recipe very similarly (UPSTREAM_CHECK_*). Should send similar fixes as one patch or a long series of recipe individual patches?09:45

RPyocton: is there some logical grouping for the patches? maybe github.com ones and then others or something?13:33
yoctonGitHub is one of the classes (but we will look into your suggestion about this), some recipes have PV that does not match upstream, for some UPSTREAM_CHECK_* have to be manually set, a bunch of recipe need UPSTREAM_CHECK_COMMIT, ...13:57
yoctonWe haven't finished analysing the last meta-oe AUH.13:58
yoctonI hesitate between sending a patch per class of very similar fixed or a patch per recipe but we wil reach dozens of patches quite fast14:00
yoctonWe will start splitted, this will be easy to squash later if need be.14:02

mortEveryone's always talking about how the proper way to support the rk3588's GPU is to use panthor, not the old legacy proprietary mali driver14:23
mortHowever, looking at 6.9 now, the rk3588's .dtsi doesn't even have a node for HDMI... Are we *sure* that panthor works on the 3588?14:24

RPyocton: I've usually found a patch per recipe can be a bit much but as with most things, "it depends"14:57
yoctonRP: ok, I'll see what it looks like once it's done. Thanks!15:06

yoctonIs it legitimate for a recipe to invent a version/PV that does not exist upstream? For example mce-test : PV=20222810 (from commit date), upstream only has an old v1.0 tag. Shouldn't this be PV=1.0+git or 1.0+git20222810 maybe?16:52
RPI'd have said 1.0+git<rev>16:53
yoctonRP: got it, thanks!16:58
mortalright it seems like an attempt was made to upstream rk2588 HDMI support literally 3 days ago17:39
mortso.. my dreams of being on a not-vendor kernel for this 3588 board are probably dead17:39
