iontehi. need a hint:11:25
tasslehoffcan I have two versions of gcc installed in my sdk?11:26
iontei'm building a distro for beaglebone (actually beaglebone green wireless). all works except that on boot u-boot looks for am335x_boneblack.dtb, but my device tree has another name.11:26
iontewhat's the best way to handle that? as far as i can tell there are two ways: rename the device tree or include a uEnv.txt11:26
ionteuEnv.txt seems to be the most flexible option, but I'm unsure where/in what recipe i should handle that11:27
ionteoptionally the uEnv.txt should be dynamically generated to use the same device tree as KERNEL_DEVICETREE11:27

CTtpollardrburton: of course, Im just wondering what I need to add to sshd_config to confirm bitbake has configured it11:32
rburtonwell if you added the package then it should be working11:33
rburtontotally the best way to test it is to try sftping in, then you check that its *actually* working11:33
CTtpollardI can see the lib is there under usr/lib/openssh/sftp-server, but no config set in sshd_config11:35
CTtpollardrburton: cool it's working, sftping directly to the host working by default :)11:37
ionteGot another idea: i could perhaps make am335x-bloneblack.dtb a symbolic link to the real dtb in do_install_append of the kernel recipe ...11:39

stumpykergoth: glad to contribute here.  There's a link to a "VARIABLES" page where the Toaster user can manually configure stuff20:45
stumpychecked the local.conf in ../build-toaster-2/conf/local.conf, it's all defaulted though I changed my ../bitbake/conf/local.conf20:46
stumpyWill try it the "VARIABLES" page way to see what happens20:47

nerdboyyocto 2.0 refman says 14.04 lts or higher23:14
* nerdboy thinks he just wants to see another round of patch spinning23:14
nerdboyif it chokes on ld.bfd then i'd say "yes" to "is your linker broken?"23:15
nerdboyeven ubuntu doesn't support 12.04 any more23:16
khemubuntu supports 12.04 till next year23:17
nerdboygot a better fix for gold linker maybe?23:17
khemif you can narrow it down may be23:18
khemI havent really looked at the problem you are trying to solve in details23:18
nerdboy  <=  this is official or not official?23:18

khemwell to say tested by yocto project23:19
nerdboyand i sent you the error, in it's current recipe config it dosn't like gold/lto23:19
khemit doesnt say others are not supported23:19
khemdisable lto then23:19
