JaMakhem: have you found an easy way how to prevent autoconf adding -std=gnu23 on older hosts? I've seen you mentioning it and fixing in various recipes. Now with autoconf upgrade in master I see apr and audit failing on ubuntu-24.04 with "error: unrecognized command-line option ‘-std=gnu23’; did you mean ‘-std=gnu2x’" while it builds fine on ubuntu-26.04 with newer gcc08:05

yanndRP: to get back to my issue... the recrdeptask on do_deploy actually works as designed, as do_deploy itself does not have any (R)DEPENDS on tasks in other recipes, so I understand the count of 27 in pn-buildlist.  But then, when I switch the recrdeptask to do_deploy_runtimedeps itself (which is "after do_deploy"), I was surprised that pn-buildlist would only contain 3 recipes, but is that because the recursion is not applied to do_deploy09:08
yannditself, and the recrdeptask needs to specify both?  That actually seems to go towards the expected direction, with many more packages getting listed - now I have other issues, but that one does seem settled09:08

yanndRP: the recrdeptask mechanism is actually too greedy for my use-case, it gets much too expensive to follow the RDEPENDS of the other packages produced by each recipe, when each time I only need a couple of them.  As I understand it, although CacheData has per-package rdepends, TaskData flattens this per-recipe into rdepids - but anyway tasks cannot really act per-package.14:52

paulbarkerGuest90: I highly recommend something where you can control the worker nodes yourself, the default runners for things like GitHub Actions don't give you enough disk space or RAM for Yocto builds15:06
